SCAM ALERT! Please be aware of a recent scam targeting electric co-op members. This particular phone scam the caller states they are trying to reach you in regard to an important matter about the supply charges on your electric account and notes reference number 654982. Most of the scam calls are coming from a 773-839-0516 or a similar number.

Corn Belt Energy does not call members over the phone to demand payment. If there are any changes with your account, you will receive a notice in the mail from Corn Belt Energy as well as phone reminders to contact our office. Never give personal information to anyone who calls you or demands immediate payment by phone. If you receive a suspicious phone call, please contact Corn Belt Energy to report: 1-800-879-0339 If you believe that you are a phone scam target, we urge you to contact the local police department and contact the Illinois Attorney General’s office toll free at 1-800-386-5438 (TTY 1-800-964-3013) or visit the Illinois Attorney General’s web site at and click on the link “Protecting Consumers."
