Outage Updates

Approximately 2,132 members are without power due to the severe storms that recently came through our service area specifically in the following counties: Bureau, DeWitt, Logan, Macon, McLean and Tazewell. Crews have been dispatched to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. As a reminder please call us immediately at 800-879-0339 if you have a line down and DO NOT go near any downed lines. For your safety and ours, we ask that you do not approach any of our lineman while they are working in your area. Together, we can slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Thank you.

About Us

Corn Belt Energy Corporation distributes electricity to over 36,000 households and businesses throughout 18 counties. As a not-for-profit energy cooperative, Corn Belt Energy is owned by the members it serves and is committed to providing reliable, affordable energy. Governed by 13 directors who are themselves residential members, Corn Belt also supports energy efficiency, education, and safety initiatives.

Whether you are in the process of new construction, updating HVAC systems or just looking into geothermal as a heating and cooling alternative, Corn Belt Energy's GeoCents program makes geothermal more affordable. Corn Belt Energy will pay to have the geothermal loops (the outside loops that go into your yard) installed at your home. In turn, you will pay a monthly fee to be able to utilize the loops.
